Social Impact Enterprise

Fondazione CRT has a 10 years experience in supporting social and impact entrepreneurship, sectors that are particularly relevant for the Foundation as they combine economic productivity and “social productivity” for the benefit of local development, but also lasting change and innovation.

The Foundation collaborates:

  • with the main global networks of innovators and social entrepreneurs, such as Ashoka, which will hold its fourth Ashoka Changemaker Summit at the OGR in Turin on 2 December, and Impact HUB, a partner in several initiatives, the most recent of which aims to encourage the use of Big Data by social entrepreneurs; with Opes LCEF Impact Fund, in particular in organising the Social Enterprise Open Camp, a platform for exchange and discussion with and for impact entrepreneurs;
  • with some of the most innovative philanthropic institutions at European level, such as the Portuguese Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, which has led to the international expansion of the SPEAK project for social inclusion through cultural and linguistic exchanges.

The experience and skills acquired have enabled Fondazione CRT, in collaboration with OGR Tech, to be selected by Microsoft as a strategic partner for Italy on the topic of “Data for Good” as part of the Global Social Entrepreneurship Programme project, which Microsoft is implementing to support impact enterprises.

The Foundation’s commitment to promoting the development of social impact enterprises is rooted in a programme launched jointly with the United Nations, which in its five editions has supported 100 young social entrepreneurs from 26 countries in the Mediterranean countries.
