OGR Torino has officially become an acceleration partner within the Microsoft AI L.A.B ecosystem, aiming to foster innovation, support startups, and maximize the impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Piedmont and the entire Northwest region of Italy.

The Partnership

AI L.A.B., developed by Microsoft Italy in collaboration with its partner ecosystem, is an initiative designed to promote the opportunities offered by Generative Artificial Intelligence and encourage its responsible adoption by public and private companies, professionals, and students. The program also contributes to Italy’s sustainable growth by creating new scenarios for digital innovation and providing AI training programs.

OGR’s entry into the Microsoft AI L.A.B program strengthens a partnership established in 2020. Over four years, this collaboration has facilitated the development of impactful projects in the areas of training and business acceleration, as well as the organization of numerous initiatives for the local business community.

The Value of Impact

The partnership between OGR Torino and Microsoft Italy is built on shared values, including a strong focus on the impact of their projects, the application of technology for the common good, and data altruism. A concrete example of this shared vision is Impact Deal, the first European data-driven acceleration program for enterprises with social and environmental impact, now in its third edition.

Through Impact Deal, Microsoft Italy and OGR Torino, together with Fondazione CRT— which conceived and supported the program from the beginning—highlight the value of data and data expertise. They recognize that any public or private initiative must set measurable, long-term impact goals. Positioned at the intersection of data, artificial intelligence, impact, and entrepreneurship, the program offers access to exclusive datasets, a network of mentors and experts, networking opportunities with investors and players in Data Sharing, and a growing community of alumni. A key element of the program is the Data Club, composed of corporates and public and private organizations that share their data.
