Impact Week 2024: Fondazione CRT joins international leaders in social and environmental impact

 

From November 27 to 29, Bilbao will host Impact Week 2024, the annual gathering of Impact Europe, the international network dedicated to social and environmental impact, of which Fondazione CRT is a member.

This three-day event in Bilbao is a key opportunity to explore innovative ideas, discover emerging trends, and foster meaningful collaborations that benefit people and the planet. The theme for this year, Madness, Boldness, Brightness, invites participants to reflect, collaborate, and act for positive systemic change.

Fondazione CRT will lead two key sessions on Thursday, November 28:

Tech, AI and Impact: Stories, Insights, Perspectives. Squaring the Circle.

The digital transformation driven by data and artificial intelligence demands new governance models to ensure sustainability and equity. With regulations such as the Data Governance Act and the Artificial Intelligence Act emerging, it is essential to explore AI’s positive potential through innovative collaborations and impact-oriented business models.

Moderated by Ciro Cattuto (Fondazione ISI), this session will bring together data science experts, investors, international philanthropic organizations, impact assessment specialists, and acceleration programs to discuss their roles in shaping a responsible and inclusive digital transformation.

The Impact Deal Showcase will feature inspiring examples of how data science and datasets are being practically used by social innovators across Europe in diverse fields such as waste management, health threat detection, sustainable consumption and mobility, CO2 reduction, and critical infrastructure reliability.
